The Cape Elizabeth Police Bulletin Board
by: Henry and Ben, Cape Elizabeth, grade 5
The Cape Elizabeth police department has a bulletin board located
in the squad room at the police station, which is across from the town hall
on Route 77 in Cape Elizabeth. One of the purposes of the bulletin
board is to share information with police officers in Cape Elizabeth
and other towns in Maine about people who are going to be witnesses in court
and people wanted by the police. Teletypes received from other police
stations are paper clipped together and tacked up on the board so that officers
can keep up to date on whatís happening in other towns. The
board is also used to post the status of all the police cars in town.
The last part of the bulletin board has information about the police
union. This section also displays how much money the police officers
earn each year. The board can not be viewed by the public without special
permission from the police department because the information on it is
confidential. We made the picture blurry because of
the confidential information.
