HISTORICAL FAMILY
DOORS
By Melissa
and Lindsay, Cape Elizabeth, grade 5
Our talking wall project is on a different kind of historical
doors. These doors are talking walls for individual families. Lindsay
and Melissa each have a special family door at their house and we are going
to compare them. Each family's door has basic information about family
and/or friends. Every year someone will stand against the basement door to
see how much they have grown from the past year. They mark down height ,
year, and who the person is.
Lindsay's door has different names like friends [such as Melissa]
and also other relatives. Lindsay's door was started in 1993.
Melissaís family has a different way of doing things.
Their door only has her immediate family, not any relatives or friends. But,
they began their door in 1993.
