Input sought on proposal to replace traditional February, April vacations with one vacation in March (01/19/2012 - please respond by Feb. 1, 2012)
Our Community Cape Elizabeth, which is located five miles east of Portland, covers approximately 9,330 acres. It has a population of 9,000 residents living in 3,200 households. Cape Elizabeth is known for its outstanding natural features, including the Atlantic Ocean and its diverse coastal geography ranging from sandy beaches, dunes, and salt water marshes; to rocky cliffs and pounding surf. It also has open fields and forested land which provide restful views and gives the town its rural character. The community has one of the highest per capita incomes in the state and is comprised of people working predominantly in business and the professions. Ninety percent of our parents are college graduates and fifty percent hold an advanced degree. The community is strongly committed to education
