School Board workshop summaries on standardized testing

On Tuesday, September 26, 2006, the Cape Elizabeth Schools Board Workshop was held in the Cape Elizabeth High School library with a focus on Understanding Standardized Testing: An Overview of the MEA, NWEA, and SAT.

Sarah Simmonds, the Co-Facilitator of Professional Development & Curriculum, presented her overview and that material, which is on a PowerPoint is available for review.

Dominic DePatsy, the Special Services Director, reviewed the use of testing instruments to assess the learning needs of students.

Shari Robinson, the Co-Facilitator of Professional Development & Curriculum, presented the Board with an overview of recent training several members of the staff received at Harvard University with the Project Blueprint staff. A summary of her report is also included.
