County nurses may be contacting parents for H1N1 flu response survey
During the past winter our school nurses have worked diligently to provide both the seasonal and H1N1 vaccinations in our schools. The success rates here in Cape Elizabeth were extremely positive and made it possible to continue school for all students with little or no disruption. Due to the state, national and international effects of H1N1, the national CDC is working with Maine to assess the successes and help us prepare for further involvement in the coming years.
With that in mind, we are contacting you regarding the fact that some, but not all, parents in Cape Elizabeth may be contacted by a team of Cumberland County nurses to ask for your participation in a short, 10-minute survey regarding the H1N1 influenza pandemic work of last Fall and Winter. Your participation is very much appreciated as this survey will help the state and national CDC learn more about our vaccination campaign and the impact of H1N1 in Cape Elizabeth and in towns across Maine. Your participation is voluntary and all information will be kept confidential.
If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school nurse and/or the superintendent. Thank you for your cooperation.
