Our Schools
Cape Elizabeth Schools are organized into three schools located on one campus:
Pond Cove Elementary
School (K-4);
Middle School
(5-8); and, High School
(9-12). These schools are administered by the superintendent and a principal
for each school. Setting policy is the responsibility of an elected
School
Board composed of seven members serving three-year terms. The school
budget accounts for approximately 68 percent of the town's total budget.
With the emphasis on academics, more than 90 percent of graduates
go on to post-secondary education. In addition to strong academic programs
throughout the system, about 80 percent of middle and high school students
participate in extra-curricular activities ranging from sports to debating
to the arts.
