PCPA Volunteer Opportunities

Sign up to be the MSPA CLYNK Chair Shadow!

Our Clynk Chair has been doing this for many years and her youngest will be in 7th grade next year. She'd like to be able to have a shadow for the remainder of this school year and turn it over to the new person at the end of the school year. She will still be available to help for 2 more school years.  It is a wonderful program, and could easily be shared by 2 people. Please contact Sheri BraggCape Partnerships for Education Cape Partnerships for Education is a new initiative designed to create a central database of skills, knowledge, and resources that parents, guardians, and community members are willing to share with our students and teachers. This short 5 minute survey will allow you to list information about yourself and various ways you might consider interacting with students. Contact information will remain private until permission to share is granted on a case by case basis. Contact volunteer and extended learning coordinator John Holdridge with any questions.

PCPA Fundraising Updates

Did you know that Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to us when you do you shopping at smile.amazon.com?

We received a quarterly donation of $144.40 thanks to parents  shopping at smile.amazon.com - thanks for supporting us!

AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Same products, same prices, same service. Support us by clicking the link to set us up as your AmazonSmile charity of choice! https://smile.amazon.com/ch/27-2024925

Fill and return CLYNK bags to support outdoor education program fundraising efforts! Bags labeled by grade level are available in the Pond Cove lobby and in each students classroom. Funds raised stay with your child's grade level and are used to support their outdoor education programs in Middle School such as the 5th grade walk along the Boston Freedom Trail and the 6th grade trip to Chewonki. It is estimated that over $12,000 per grade needs to be raised by December of your child's 6th grade year to continue these programs. Excess funds raised stay with your child's grade and may further reduce the cost to parents or be used to offset the costs of future programs. Start early, start now and keep on CLYNKing!

Contact our CLYNK co-chair Dana Schauf with questions and click here to see how your child's Chewonki fundraising is going.

Hannaford Grocery Card Fundraiser Just four months into the school year and we've already raised $940.00 - just by grocery shopping!   Fill out this form and drop it off, along with your check, to the MS or Pond Cove front office and get a Hannaford grocery card for the full amount of your check.   Hannaford gives our school 5% back of our monthly order - you choose the grade your 5% gets allocated to.  The money STAYS with that class for future outdoor programming.   You may also choose to send your 5% to teacher grants. For questions please email Laura Allen at allenlaura207@gmail.com Next due date is January 16th!   Click here to see how your child's Chewonki fundraising is going.

PCPA News & Information

Watch for changes coming to the PCPA website next year!

We're replacing Membership Toolkit to create a better user experience for our volunteers and families, as well as making better use of our budget.

Here's what to expect:  - The immediate solution will be quick and simple, and we'll be adding sophistication over time - We'll likely need to handle volunteer registration with a separate/temporary solution for a few months (e.g. Signup Genius) - The transition will happen in mid-January - We may have opportunities for folks with interest/experience in website management/web development to help develop the new site - reach out to our webmaster Sean Hanson if interested!
