PCPA Volunteer Opportunities

Arts Day Committee Members Needed!

We are looking for 1-2 committee members to join us this year. We will still need volunteers on the day of the event, but we really need 2 more volunteers that may be able to give us some of their planning time. There will be less time needed immediately - and more as we get closer to the event on May 15th. All tasks can be done at home. Please reach out to Kelly Raffaele if you are able to help!

Newsletter Editor Needed!

We are looking for a volunteer to publish our weekly PCPA Newsletter. The template is built in MailChimp - and easy to update. Information will be provided by the PCPA President, as well as outside sources for the Community News Section. Time commitment is 1-2 hours a week - depending on the amount of information to update and include. This is a fun and easy way to volunteer on your own pace - and stay up-to-date on all the happenings at Pond Cove. Please reach out to Allison Blackstone if you'd like to help!

Fundraising Updates

Hannaford Grocery Card Fundraiser January Update

Participants using their Hannaford pre-paid gift cards raised $157.50 in January for the schools - we receive 5% back from our bulk orders each month. The next deadline is March 12th! Drop off a check with your filled out form to the Middle School or Pond Cove front office, and you will receive a Hannaford grocery card for the full amount of your check. Forms can also be found in the lobbies of Pond Cove and the middle school. You choose which grade your 5% gets allocated to - or you may choose teacher grants.   Funds raised help the grade you choose pay for outdoor programming and the Chewonki trip they will in the 6th grade.

Please contact Laura Allen with any questions.

Help the PCPA when you shop at Amazon

Did you know that Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases to us when you do your shopping at smile.amazon.com?

We received a quarterly donation of $144.40 thanks to parents using AmazonSmile - thanks for supporting the PCPA! AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know - same products, same prices, same service.

Set the PCPA as your AmazonSmile charity of choice!

The CLYNK Challenge is in full swing!

Our school is competing in the CLYNK For Schools Recycling Challenge which takes place between January 21, 2020 - March 20, 2020. Every year, CLYNK and Hannaford Supermarkets team up to reward the schools that make the biggest recycling impact.

We can earn an extra $.50 for every dollar in bottle returns during the competition period thanks to a match provided by Hannaford. Take home a CLYNK bag from the lobby or your classroom, fill it with bottles and cans, and drop it off at Hannaford. Every cent raised goes directly to support the CLYNK for Outdoor program. Top performing schools earn cash prizes, and in addition to Hannaford's matching funds.

We are currently in 7th place statewide - so keep on CLYNKing for Pond Cove!
