Cape Elizabeth High School Speech and Debate sponsored a statewide tournament this past weekend with nineteen schools, 129 students and 59 judges, team coaches, and support staff participating. Parent volunteers served up pizzas, crock-pot soups, sandwiches, dessert, and hot and cold beverages.
Cape's Speech team finished 1st in sweepstakes, Debate - 2nd, and Congress - 2nd. We are looking forward to the State Championship on January 21 at Bangor High School. The team wishes to convey its thanks to the facility staff, Principal Springer, and Superintendent Record for their support.
