Mindfulness for Parents
This free introductory 1-hour session is open to any adults— parents, educators, and caregivers— who have young people in their lives and want to develop their own mindfulness practice as a support tool. We will review the basics of mindfulness: what it is/is not, the benefits and research, and how it can help us stay more present and effective with our children. Short mindfulness practices will be interwoven throughout the experience. We will also review resources for home practice, and end with some ideas about how to introduce this to the young people in your life.
