A team of Cape High School and alumni Cape Olympian athletes participated in the 2026 Special Olympics Summer Games at Orono on June 5-6. They competed in the 200m and 50m runs, shot put and standing long jump. The team practiced for this event throughout the spring and were rewarded with medals and ribbons for their efforts. Along with this event the team competed in fall, winter and spring events. The Summer Games is the last event on their calendar and they will be back and ready to go in the fall.
